CASTELLIER - Anche una piantagione
d'alberi può tramutarsi in una fantastica
attrattiva turistica! Se poi parlate anche in
esperanto le alternative di promozione turistica
si moltiplicano. L'idea è venuta
all'esperantista Marcelo Trampuh di Castellier,
economista di professione, agricoltore e
produttore di vini per diletto e per tradizione
tramandatagli, che ha promosso una singolare
quanto interessante iniziativa.

CASTELLIER- Even the planting of trees
may become an attractive and fantastic touristic
activity. If one also speaks Esperanto the alternatives
in tourism promotions multiply. The idea was
conceived by the Esperantist Marcello Trampuh from
Castellier. He is an economist by profession, a farmer
and producer of wines as a hobby and according to
traditional methods he inherited. All this has
promoted an original and interesting initiative.
Nell'orto di casa sua, un fazzoletto di terra,
ha invitato un gruppo di esperantisti1 provenienti
dall'estero, per dar l'avvio all'originale idea:
nell'orto ha piantato in loro presenza tre olivi che ha
"battezzato" simbolicamente con i nomi
"Trieste", "Amburgo"(Hamburg) e
"Sidney".
In the vegetable garden of his home, a
little plot of land, he has invited a group of Esperanto
“aficionados”1 from
abroad to implement the novel idea: In his garden he has
transplanted three olive trees which he has symbolically
“christened” with the names:
“Trieste”, “Amburgo (Hamburg”) and
“Sidney”

"Sono convinto che quest'idea frutterà al
nostro turismo degli splendidi risultati" - ci ha
spiegato Trampuh tenendo a rilevare che in passato, per
l'esattezza due anni fa, l'aveva già proposta al
concorso regionale "Capra d'oro", teso a
incentivare le attività promozionali del turismo
istriano, che era stato bandito dell'Ente turistico e
che, come idea gli aveva fruttato una lusinghiera
menzione. L'intento è quello di piantare un albero per
ogni straniero che visita l'Istria naturalmente facendo
partecipare l'ospite all'operazione di modo che il
turista al momento di ogni suo ritorno, possa ovviamente
vederlo crescere.”
“I am convinced that this idea will
produce splendid results for our (Istrian)
tourism.” Trampuh explained. He emphasizes that in
the past, exactly two years ago, he had made such
proposal to the regional contest “Capra
d’ oro” (Golden Goat )
sponsored by the Regional Tourist Office.
The idea had earned him an honorable mention
Transplanting one olive tree for each foreign
visitor of Istria is of course the main concept which
allows the guest to participate in the activity and thus
enabling the tourist to see the growth of “his”
tree upon each of his return trips.
E Trampuh, navigando su Internet, ha anche
stretto un'amicizia dapprima virtuale e poi reale, con un
gruppo di esperantisti di Trieste, e per Capodanno ha
inviato loro un omaggio tutto istriano: dell'ottima
grappa di sua produzione. E continuando a conversare in
rete con loro ha concordato in seguito anche la
realizzazione dell'idea che già gli ha fruttato un
premio. Così il gruppo di esperantisti triestini,
assieme a tanti altri loro amici appassionati di questa
lingua, tedeschi e romeni, è venuto a trovarlo a
Castellier.
Trampuh, traveling on the Internet has
started a friendship virtual at first and then real, with
a group of Esperantists in Trieste . For the New Year he
has sent them as an All Istrian present some excellent
“grappa” (aquavit) he distilled.. Carrying on
this conversation they all eventually agreed
on implementing the idea which has already earned
him a prize.. Hence this group of Triestin esperantists,
together with many other friends who love this
language, German and Rumenians, came to visit Trampuh in
Castellier.
Non è mancata una visita guidata al centro
storico di Parenzo ovviamente in esperanto in quanto
Trampuh l'ha imparato ai tempi in cui frequentava
l'Università a Fiume, approfondendo poi gli studi fino a
raggiungere il grado di insegnarlo anche a tanti allievi
e a diventare l'unica guida turistica in zona abilitata a
parlare ottimamente la lingua in questione.
Rientrata a Castellier la comitiva ha
partecipato con gioia al "rito" della
piantagione dell'albero della pace. Un reportage
sull'importante evento è stato inserito anche su

He also led a guided tour of the
historic center of Parenzo, obviously in Esperanto which
Trampuh has learned while attending the University of
Fiume. His ulterior studies enabled him to reach
the point where he could teach many pupils. He became the
only touristic guide of his area who is qualified to
speak Esperanto in his excellent fashion..
After returning to Castellier the
group participated joyfully in the “rite” of
planting the tree of peace. A report on this important
